I've made this painting yesterday. It's a landscape with comets and an icebow, a rainbow halo around the sun, a diffraction phenomenon produced by the ice crystals that come from comets and remain in the upper atmosphere for a while cooling the weather.

This is the way I imagine a Gliese 581d landscape. The planet Gliese 581d is the third planet in the Gliese 581 solar system. The star Gliese 581 is a red dwarf star in the Libra constellation. Gliese 581d is bigger than Earth with a mass 6 times higher. There is liquid water and an atmosphere on Gliese 581d and the planet may host life.

Be cause of then dense atmosphere that allows red light to pass to the surface and red light of the star the Gliese 581d landscapes are warm and red

The horsehead nebula

The Horsehead Nebula (also known as Barnard 33 or IC 434) is a dark nebula in the Orion constellation. The nebula is located just below Alnitak, the easternmost star of Orion's Belt, and is part of the much larger Orion Molecular Cloud Complex. It is approximately 1,500 light years from Earth, and is approximately 3.5 light years wide.
One of the most identifiable nebulae in the sky, it is part of a swirling cloud of dark dust and gases, shaped like a horse's head (hence its name). Also known as Barnard 33, the unusual shape was first discovered in 1888 on a photographic plate taken at the Harvard College Observatory.
The red glow originates from hydrogen gas predominantly behind the nebula, ionized by the nearby bright star Sigma Orionis. The darkness of the Horsehead is caused mostly by thick dust, although the lower part of the Horsehead's neck casts a shadow to the left. Streams of gas leaving the nebula are funneled by a strong magnetic field. Bright spots in the Horsehead Nebula's base are young stars just in the process of forming.

The Cone Nebula (also known as NGC 2264) is an H II region in the constellation of Monoceros. It was discovered by William Herschel in 1785. The nebula is located about 800 parsecs or 2,600 light-years away from Earth.
The Cone Nebula is part of the nebulosity surrounding the Christmas Tree Cluster. The designation of NGC 2264 in the New General Catalogue refers to both objects and not the nebula alone.

Planetary Nebula M57 (also known as the Ring Nebula, NGC 6720 or Messier Object 57) is located in the constellation Lyra. It is among the most well known and recognizable examples of a planetary nebula. The nebula is located at 0.7 kpc(2300 light-years) from Earth and was discovered by Antoine Darquier de Pellepoix in 1779. The nebula has a visual magnitude of 8.8, and a photographic magnitude of 9.7. It is expanding at a rate of approximately 1 arcsecond per century (corresponding to 20-30 km/s). Its mass is approximately 1.2 solar mass.
M57 is illuminated by a central white dwarf of 14.7 visual magnitude. This star was discovered in 1800 by Count Friedrich von Hahn.
M57 is best seen through at least an 8-inch telescope, but even a 3-inch telescope will show the ring.

Boomerang nebula

The Boomerang Nebula (also called the Bowtie Nebula) is a nebula located 5,000 light-years away from Earth in the Centaurus constellation. The nebula is at 1 kelvin; the coldest place known outside a laboratory. The Boomerang Nebula is formed from the outflow of gas from a star at its core. The gas is moving outwards at a speed of about 600,000 km/h and expanding rapidly as it moves out into space. This expansion is the cause of the nebula's very low temperature.
The Boomerang Nebula was photographed in detail by the Hubble Space Telescope in 1998. It is believed that the nebula is a star or stellar system evolving toward the planetary nebula phase.
Keith Taylor and Mike Scarrott called it the Boomerang Nebula in 1980 after observing it with a large ground-based telescope in Australia. Unable to see the detail that only Hubble can reveal, the astronomers saw merely a slight asymmetry in the nebula's lobes suggesting a curved shape like a boomerang. The high-resolution Hubble images indicate that 'the Bow tie Nebula' would perhaps have been a better name.

This is my oil painting of the ancient Mars, a planet like our Earth, a planet with an ocean in the northern hemisphere and a continent covered with vegetation in the southern hemisphere. By that time there was life on Mars and maybe a Martian civilization and they’ve built the pyramids in the Cydonia region and some pyramids on Earth.

Something destroyed life on Mars and I thing that something was an object made of strange quark matter or an object with a relativistic speed, an object with a strong gravitational field that hit the planet creating the Hellas Platina and the Tharsis Montes.

Corot-7b landscape

Corot-7b is the first planet orbiting the star Corot-7, a yellow dwarf star in the Monoceros(Unicorn) constellation. The distance between the planet and the the Corot 7 star is 2,500000 km. Like our moon Corot-7b has no rotation movement, exposing to the star the same face. On the surface exposed to the star there is an ocean of lava where the temperatures reach 2400ºC while the other face of the planet is frozen with temperatures that can reach -200ºC. The high temperatures of the lava ocean make the rocks volatilize and then when they reach the cold areas in the upper atmosphere become solid again and fall back in the hot ocean as a stones rain.

This is the way I imagine a place on the borderline area between the hot lava ocean and the dark and cold side of the planet.
